Inspur Server BMC One-Click Log Collection

The BMC web interface of Inspur servers (such as M4/M5 platforms) provides a 'One-Click Log Collection' feature, which packages and downloads BMC logs, system event logs, black box logs, etc., making it the preferred log for hardware fault analysis. When collecting operating system logs simultaneously or performing batch remote collection, the 'ISREST Log Collection Tool' can be used.

Collection Steps

  1. Browse to the BMC management IP and sign in with the server’s configured administrator credentials. For initial credentials, consult the machine label or documentation supplied with the server.

  2. Open Logs → One-click Log Collection, then click Collect Logs. The legacy interface shown below estimates 4–5 minutes; allow collection to finish.

  3. After collection is complete, the 'Export Logs' button becomes available; click it to save the log package locally.
