HPE 3PAR Log Collection (InSplore / SPLOR and CLI)
HPE 3PAR StoreServ logs can be collected in two ways: by generating an InSplore / SPLOR diagnostic package via the Service Processor (SP) web interface (the most complete method and preferred by technical support), or by logging into the array command line to export key configuration and status.
Method 1: Collect InSplore and SP logs via the Service Processor
InSplore is diagnostic data from the array itself (InServ), while SPLOR consists of logs from the Service Processor. The following example uses the SPOCC (Service Processor Onsite Customer Care) web page for the SP.
Access the SP IP address using a browser and log in to SPOCC with the
3parcustaccount. Click 'Support' on the left side, then click 'InSplore' in the Action column of the InServ row. Wait for the collection window to complete.
Click 'Files' on the left side to enter the
/files/<ArraySerialNumber>/insplore/directory and download the InSplore file with the most recent modification time.
Re-rendered download guidance based on the source SPOCC screen. Only the newest example file is shown; older rows are omitted. Use the newest file generated on your system.
Return to the 'Support' page, click 'Launch SPLOR' in the Service Processor row, wait for collection to complete, and then download it from Files.

Method 2: Export configuration and status via the command line
- Connect to the 3PAR management IP using an SSH client and log in with the
3paradmaccount. Enable session recording on the client. Execute the following commands sequentially and save the output:
showsys # System information, serial number and capacity showversion -a # OS and component versions shownode -i -svc # Controller node hardware information showcage -i -svc # Drive enclosure information showpd -i # Physical disks: model, serial number and firmware showpd -s # Physical disk status (failed / degraded) showalert # Current alerts checkhealth -detail # Health check
The source distinguishes Primera / Alletra 9000, which use Service Console, and lists
healthcheck -svc -detailfor those platforms. Confirm the command and available options in the documentation for the installed version.
For the annotated CLI list, enter each command before the # marker; text after it describes the collected information.
