IBM TS3100/TS3200 and Dell TL2000/TL4000 Log Collection
This source guide groups IBM TS3100/TS3200 and Dell PowerVault TL2000/TL4000 because their remote-management interfaces share a similar layout. Menus vary with model and firmware. For troubleshooting, record library and drive status and export the requested traces. On TL models fitted with an iSCSI-SAS bridge, also collect the bridge log and configuration.
Record library and drive status
Sign in to the library web interface and capture the library identity/summary and drive status pages. The source examples select Monitor Library → Library Identity and Drive Status:
Localized illustration of the original Library Identity panel. The surrounding desktop was omitted; all device fields and status mappings are retained.
Localized illustration of the original Drive Status panel. Surrounding desktop omitted; the visible drive-table rows and status values are retained.
Export RMU logs
Access the tape library IP via a browser and log in to the RMU as an administrator (Admin).

English localization of the browser Favorites label; original login state and password mask retained.
Navigate to Service Library → View Logs, select "Error Trace" for Log Type, click View to inspect, then click "Dump Log" to save the log as text locally.

Sequentially switch Log Type to Warning Trace, Informational Trace, Configuration Change Trace, and Standard Trace, exporting each one respectively.

- If requested by technical support, click "Save Service Dump" on the View Logs page to save the service dump.
Collect iSCSI bridge card logs (TL2000 / TL4000 iSCSI-SAS Bridge)
Browse to the configured iSCSI-SAS bridge management address and sign in. The source uses the legacy default
10.10.10.10. Under Bridge Maintenance, click View Log-file.
English localization of the remote-desktop title; original bridge collection shortcuts retained.
Return to the home page, open Load/Save Configuration, then use Click Here to Download in Export Configuration to save the configuration file. Import Configuration and Restore Factory Defaults are separate operations and are not part of this collection step.

Official Dell English log-download example; vendor masking is retained. The illustrative log entries differ from the historical source screenshot.
Return to the homepage, click "Load/Save Configuration", and export the configuration file under Export Configuration.

English localization of the browser and Browse label. The red highlight remains on the configuration download link.
On newer TL firmware, the library service dump may be under Service Library → Save Library Dump → Save Service Dump. Dell documents DumpAllTrace.trc for the library and a separate Save Drive Dump action producing Drive_Dump.bin. Use the dump type requested by support; the source’s View Logs exports remain separate trace files.
