EMC CLARiiON CX and AX SPCollect Log Collection
SPCollect is a controller (SP) log package for EMC CLARiiON midrange storage, containing array configuration snapshots and event logs. CX series are collected via Navisphere Manager, while AX series are collected via Navisphere Express. SPA and SPB must be collected separately. For VNX Block, see the separate Unisphere log-collection guide.
CX Series (Navisphere Manager)
Browse to a storage processor’s management address and sign in to Navisphere using configured credentials. The source lists
admin/passwordas a legacy default. Right-click SP A in the tree and select SP Collect.
Click Yes in the confirmation window. Once the Success prompt appears, click OK.

Allow the archive to finish, then right-click SP A and select File Transfer Manager.... The source estimates five minutes; Dell’s walkthrough allows up to 15 minutes depending on configuration. Use the completed archive as the readiness check.

In the left file list, locate the latest file ending with
_data.zip(the filename contains the array serial number, SP name, and collection time).
English localization: Chinese date suffixes changed to AM/PM; archive names and original red selection retained.
Select the file, choose the local save directory in the Destination Directory on the right, and click Transfer.

After Transfer Status shows successful transfer, verify the file in the local directory.

- Repeat steps 1–6 for SP B.
Step 2's Success prompt only indicates that the collection command has been issued; actual SPCollect generation takes a few minutes. If the latest file in the list ends with
runlog.txtbut does not yet have a corresponding_data.zip, it is still being generated. Please click Refresh later to check again.
AX Series (Navisphere Express)
Access the SP management IP via a browser to log in to Navisphere Express. Under System in the left pane, click "Services", then click "Diagnostic Files...".

Under Storage Processor A and Storage Processor B, click "Create Diagnostic File" respectively.

After about 5 minutes, re-enter "Diagnostic Files...". A new file with date and time will appear in the list; click the filename to download it locally.

For AX, five minutes is also an estimate. Confirm that each processor’s new diagnostic file is available before downloading. Preserve both processors’ archives.
