NF5468M5: Legacy Display Stalls at 0x31 with an Add-In GPU
Reported behavior
An NF5468M5 with an add-in GPU and external monitor appeared to stop during legacy boot, while UEFI boot worked. The last displayed message was:
0x31 : Memory Initialization Complete
The photographed yellow monitor-inventory label contains the original Chinese word for monitor and identifier D2-1. It is a physical inventory marking; the technical POST display is already English and is retained unchanged.
Source correction
In the web management BIOS settings, change VGA Priority to Onboard / Onboard Device, following the applicable save/reboot workflow. The case attributes the apparent stall to legacy VGA being routed to the add-in graphics device rather than the intended onboard display.

The screenshot deliberately keeps Offboard Device selected and the dropdown open. Onboard Device is the alternative to choose; the illustration does not depict an already-applied correction.
Archived configuration reference

The source table says VGA Priority is hidden in UEFI mode and gives Offboard Device as its default. It also includes Restore AC Power Loss and Max Page Table Size; those are retained for source context, not additional settings required by this VGA case. Its older-OS/2MB note must be interpreted within that historical BIOS documentation.
A displayed 0x31 message alone does not prove faulty memory or that every apparent boot stall has the same cause. Confirm the actual output path and current system state before changing unrelated hardware.
