Legacy Dell PowerEdge LCD Error Codes: Complete Source Table

This translates the stored historical Dell LCD-code table. The corresponding English PowerEdge R710 Hardware Owner’s Manual, Table 1-1, was located. These legacy E/I/W codes are not a complete message registry for every PowerEdge generation. Match the exact model and firmware; newer event codes and procedures differ.

The table preserves all 75 source message variants across 72 codes. Slot-specific variants share their parent code explicitly. References such as Getting Help or Troubleshooting System Memory refer to the matching system manual, not a generic procedure on this page.

Record/export the SEL and relevant hardware context before clearing a log. AC removal, restarts, reseating and replacements below describe source service actions that can interrupt workloads; carry them out only through the actual system’s service procedure. The source’s ten-second AC wait is retained for its legacy context. A cleared alert does not prove that the underlying fault is fixed.

Check PSU and system configuration. The system configuration requires more power than the power supply unit can provide, but the system can boot using throttling.Turn off the system power, reduce the hardware configuration, or install a higher-wattage power supply unit, then restart the system.

In W1228, “less than 24hr” concerns battery-backed cache retention capacity; it is not a statement that the server can run on that battery for 24 hours. Preserve controller cache data through the applicable replacement procedure.
