StorCLI Import RAID Configuration

Applicable to MegaRAID / ServeRAID controllers supporting StorCLI. The official manual explicitly states: preview performs only a preview; actual import requires a separate import command.. Controller number, tool version, and supported range must be verified first; do not assume any onboard RAID is applicable just because an old case mentions a specific model.

Confirm controller and external configuration

The following uses the tool name storcli64, controller /c0 as examples; in EFI environment, use the actual program name storcli.efi.

storcli64 show
storcli64 /c0/fall show all
storcli64 /c0/fall import preview

Check the member disks, virtual drive capacity, and RAID level, and confirm that it belongs to the array to be recovered.show all , and import preview 's results for verification; neither indicates that the import is complete.

Execute import

Only execute after the preview matches expectations and all required member disks are present:

storcli64 /c0/fall import

Check results

storcli64 /c0/vall show all
storcli64 /c0/fall show all

Check command status, virtual drives, and remaining external configurations. If preview anomalies or import failures occur, retain the output and troubleshoot first. When restoring original data, do not use delete config, clear Foreign, or initialize to "fix" import issues.
