Analysis of errpt Errors in AIX Snap Logs

1. Unzip the snap file

2. Enter the directory "General"

3. Open the file "errpt.out"

4. Use the following method to analyze the event

"Class: H" for Hardware, It's a hardware event.

"Class: S" for Software, It's an application event.

"Class: O" for Opertian system, It's an System event, not an error log.

"Class: I" for Information, , not an error log.

"Type: PERM" for Permanent, If class is H and type is H, then it is a hardware issue that needs attention.

"Type: PERM" for Temporary, If the temporary incident is not reported continuously, it can be ignored.

The hardware error is at the bottom of the event, You can prepare the parts according to "Priority: H FRU", then you can follow "Location" to determine the fault location.
