IBM Power Systems: Fault Alert Light Off

Turn off IBM Power System alarm light

Method 1:

Run /usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/usysfault -s normal with root privileges

Method 2:

1. Run the diag command with root privileges, enter the diag menu, and press Enter;

2. Select "Task Selection" and press Enter to continue;

3. Select "Identify and Attention Indicators" and press Enter to continue; ?This may take a while?

4. Select "Set System Attention Indicator to Normal", press Enter, "Set System?

Attention Indicator to Normal" shows a "+" sign before it, indicating this option is selected;

5. Press "F7" to submit. The above steps will extinguish the orange alarm light on the Power System.
